Biography
Paul G. Gutterman brings more than 10 years of practical experience to his MBT classes. He began his career in the tax area of Dorsey and Whitney, the Upper Midwest's largest law firm. As senior manager in Ernst & Young's tax department, Gutterman focused on IRS representation. corporate, partnership, and exempt organization taxation. He also taught at William Mitchell College of Law, joining the MBT program as an adjunct faculty member in 1990. Gutterman helped develop the state's Limited Liability Company Act as a member of a Minnesota State Bar Association committee that drafted the legislation. Gutterman teaches the MBT's signature course: Tax Research, Communication and Practice. He is currently serving as Director of the MBT program.
