About the Program

Identify Real Opportunities to Create Value Using Generative AI. AI, both traditional and generative, can create tremendous value for organizations. It can enhance internal efficiency by improving productivity and processes, make existing products and services more compelling, and/or fuel innovation by enabling the creation of new products and services. During this two-day, interactive program, you will learn how Generative AI works as well as how it can create value for your firm. You will also discover its limitations and how to avoid common missteps and pitfalls.

Experience

This practical, interactive course will equip you with a Generative AI toolkit as well as help you develop an action plan for a tangible project. You will engage in hands-on exercises and observe demonstrations to gain an appreciation for Generative AI’s six “superpowers.” Faculty will share a variety of tools, including ChatGPT, Midjourney, and DALL-E 2, and discuss how these can be leveraged to improve your productivity and create value for your firm. Additionally, you will evaluate your company’s culture and complete an organizational assessment matrix, indicating how tolerant and receptive your firm will likely be to Generative AI solutions. Group discussion will explore the ethical, societal, and decision making implications as well as the tech firm and media hype surrounding this quickly evolving technology.

During the second half of the course, faculty will guide you through a series of exercises to help you identify potential project ideas, select the highest value project, and outline a project proposal. Group discussion will feature strategic implications including competitive advantage, incremental revenue generation, and cost burden along with other key metrics. Faculty will share frameworks to evaluate tradeoffs of complexity vs. accuracy and risk vs. reward. You will create a high-level business case for your idea, including steps for hypothesis testing, prototyping, piloting, and deployment. Additional business case considerations will include success criteria, scope, budget, resources required, duration, and risks. You will return to work with a concrete plan outlining your value-creating Gen AI-aided project idea along with the confidence to lead as an AI champion.
